The Yankees have 17 Games left in the regular season.
You can say they all become playoff-type games, but
for certain the next 6 games will not only have playoff implications
but also insane playoff type atmosphere !!
The Yankees will visit Citifield for 3 Games vs. the Mets and then
travel to the Rogers Center for 3 vs. the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Mets & Jays have some very interesting similarities :
They are both ..Rivals ( Divisional & Cross-Town)
They are both …teams in 1st Place
They are both … teams that turned their seasons around with aggressive
trade deadline acquisitions.
They are both … teams with long suffering fan bases that are desperate &
energized by the thought of post season baseball again

Win all 6 … and the Yankees would be at worst tied for 1st Place in the A.L. East
Lose all 6 … and the Yankees could conceivably be on the outside looking
in at the two Wild Card spots & facing the possibility of not making the playoffs for
a 3rd year in a row.

There will be Yankee fans in attendance, there always are
fans of both teams during a subway series, but make no mistake,
sold out Citifield will be jam packed with mostly Met fans .. & they
will be loud.
The Yankees are a veteran team that has played well on the
road this season (39-33) and they need to continue to be
Road Warriors because the Mets and Blue Jays have
something else in common
They are both … teams that would love nothing better than to
knock the hated Yankees out of the playoff picture
