The Yankees just took 2 out of 3 games from the last place Red Sox,

and there were plenty of series high-lights and heroics including …

3 Run Homers by McCann & Chris Young.

A very solid Pitching performance by Sabathia, and

a dramatic 2nd Deck Home Run by Ellsbury.

What might have gone unnoticed, or maybe

taken for granted, was the Yankee Bullpen.

For the series vs. Boston :

10 Innings … 0 Runs allowed.

The Bullpen has been doing it all season.

Especially the back end of the Pen.

Check out these stats

DELLIN BETANCES :

6-2,1.29 ERA, 7 SAVES,   56 INN,   89 K /24 BB, 0.84 WHIP

ANDREW MILLER

0-2,1.70 ERA, 24/24 SAVES, 37 INN, 55 K /13BB, 0.76 WHIP

The Yankees are a PENsational ..

52 – 2 when leading after 7 innings this season.

I have concerns about the Starting Pitching, and

the over-reliance on the Home Run offensively,

but when it comes to the Yankees greatest team strength

there is no question it is …

THE POWER OF THE PEN !!
